Almost every cashier was counting out 30 minutes before the store closed, and then one of the few cashiers that was working decided to take somebody not in line ahead of us. Not well run at all.
VERY disappointed in my experience. Does not even warrant a single star. We bought two major appliances from them over a month ago. One was delivered. The other, a relatively small freezer, was not delivered as promised. We had to call JCPenney to find out that the freezer was on back order. They made an appointment (and by appointment I mean, a full day we had to block off and make sure we weren't working) to bring the freezer to us on a separate date, but just did not show. We called again. They made another appointment and again did not show without even a call. They made a third appointment which they did keep, but showed up with a damaged freezer. We have placed several calls to the customer service line, but instead of being understanding and helpful we get attitude and different stories. Now that I want to cancel my order I am told, first to call back the next day. Then I am told it will take 72 hours, call back on Tuesday.
What a mess. Was looking for men's and women's jeans. Thrift stores look better that. Very shocked their standards have fallen so low.
I still wish for the glory days of the killer deals that would rotate around the store, but this is still a great place to get all kinds of apparel. The staff are helpful and there's lots of attractions here with Sephora, the salon, the portrait studio, etc..
Frustrated, I even tried to call the physical store to at least get someone to listen to me, but I cannot get through to anyone. This is a $150 freezer, but now I will never shop at JCPenney again. So sad that they cannot do better than this for their customers.
I don't recommend buying appliances at JCpenny. I purchased a refrigerator 3 months ago, the installation wasn't done correctly and dispute having paid extra for repair/labor I haven't been able to get hold of a tech to schedule a repair, I get transfer from a 3rd party to the next...
