I worked for Jay about 15 years ago. And let me tell you, he's a hard man to work for. He's meticulous, anal and picky. I totally understand people's issues with his lack of social skills. But do you want someone who knows what they're doing, takes excellent care of his animals and ensures they go to homes that know how to take care of them, or someone who knows how to be social? I only wish I had been more mature as a teenager and didn't quit that job. Because there's so much more he could've taught me. Even though I couldn't handle it, I give him all my business and I recommend all my friends to him. Because I know what goes on behind the scenes. I know how good he is at his job. And I know I won't find that quality anywhere else. How do you think a guy like Jay is able to stay in business? It's not his savvy sales man skills. It's his product.
First thing I see when I walked in the bird area is a dead parakeet with flies all over it! Looks like it's been there for days. I told the worker there and she picked it up with a paper towel and threw it in the trash in the public restroom..
