I'm really not sure how he has such a high rating in so many ratings sites. @Google, you should check for rating fraud here.
I love this office! Dr Broadbent has always been kind to my husband and I. He is funny and professional and I trust him. I had a hard time trusting doctors in the past, but he is easy going, and he knows what he’s doing. I would recommend him to any woman!
Anyone notice all the 5 star reviewers for this Doctor are "A google User". Sounds like either him or his office staff are the ones posting the 5 stars. This doctor can't even write legibly on his prescription pad for lab work or prescriptions. THIS IS WHY PEOPLE GET WRONG MEDICATIONS OR HAVE THE WRONG LAB TESTS DONE. If you can't write legibly on important medical documents, the Maverick down the street is accepting applications. Been sitting on the phone, calling and re-calling and not being put on hold, since 9:00am. THEY JUST OPENED! How many calls are you getting on a Tuesday morning? Finally, got through it is now 9:08am. Office staff seem a bit slow to turn the phones on for the day. Been on hold for 6 minutes. What a joke of an office.
I was pretty surprised after seeing the bad reviews about this Doctor and his office. I personally have had a really good experience. He delivered both my kids and was always very professional and always helped me understand what was going on. I am a nurse and even though I had a good understanding of what was going on he still stopped and explained everything. He has a hilarious sense of humor, which I see from some reviews here some people did not like, but I don't see how someone can give a one star review due to not liking that, I think that we all have to stop being so sensitive and laugh a little. I think Dr. Broadbent is a great doctor, has years of experience and though "old school" he is up to date on all the relevant and most recent research. I also know other nurses that work directly with him at the hospital and they have nothing but good comments about him. I really recommend him.
I would like to say, I work in a medical setting doing a similar job. I went to this office because my health care provider that I normally see didn't do this kind of surgical procedure that was needed. I was referred to this office for a consult First of all the front office staff lied to me and told me they could do this procedure I needed in office, which I later found out I could only do st the hospital due to the need to be put to sleep for it. Anyways I was at my first visit for 3 hours. I filled out a ton of paperwork to begin with then when the dr took me back, he didn't read any of my paperwork so pretty much I had to verbally explain my life history with him. This isn't the worst part people. I was told I was coming in for a quick consult first, then surgery later. So he started doing all these things to me like a normal OBGYN would do except the big difference is they would normally explain what it is they are doing step by step and ask you if it's okay to do what it is that he is doing instead of just doing it all without any warning, if you get what i am saying i.e. Pap smear, breast check ect. I felt completely in shock and felt the appointment was unnecessary for what I was there for. I also felt a bit of judgment due to my insurance. I ended up doing the surgery with him because I didn't want to have to go meet with another doctor for the third time. The surgery was the same, he is very arrogant, rude, and unprofessional. He didn't even introduce himself to my husband when he came in for my pre-op surgery. He asked me if I had any questions and all I could say is when will you retire because I hope no other females have to put up with this unprofessional cocky doctor much longer. There office is not a busy office which is weird because it's in a good location. He has a bunch of ladies that work in the front which seemed unnecessary as well since they didn't have patients, don't know why my first apt took three hours. To bring this bad experience to the end, I called the dr to let him know, the pain medication he gave me wasn't working and if they suggested I take something else instead they treated me like I was a person who had a problem with drugs. They knew nothing about me or where I work and didn't even bother to ask me what my symptoms were or anything. I will never recommend anyone to this office. This is coming from one medical office to another. Do your research people before you come to this office. If I could give lower than one star I would. Dr Broadbent you should retire now.
I accompanied my wife for her visit and it was a nightmare. Dr. Broadbent was aloof to anything we were saying or asking. He was unhelpful when we finally explained why we were there. He then started examining my wife's pelvis to prepare for a pap smear without warning and without explanation. We weren't there for a pap smear! I felt like I was watching my wife get violated. I wanted to tackle him. Luckily we convinced him that she didn't need a pap smear and that there was no purpose in our visit that merited him sticking his fingers anywhere near her. It was strange and uncomfortable and we will never return to that clinic.
