My brother is a patient here. The staff is so wonderful. He feels respected and treated well here. I was blown away by how kind the staff was when I came in for a visit.
Patients requiring medical attention are left to suffer without treatment because medical staff are unwilling to undertake the liability. Direct care staff, called psychiatric technicians, have no formal training and get away with verbally and physically abusing patients. Allegations of wrongdoing are almost always overlooked or not fully investigated with the patient being labelled as incompetent.
Beautiful grounds and castle, with frisbee golf and hiking trails, not to mention a duck pond that isn't busy
I was a patient here and it was terrible. They had horrible food, the staff were mostly complete assholes and the rooms were dreadful to be in.
I am his mother, I 100% agree, the teacher was wonderful and treated my son nice, the therapist was worthless, the Dr. talked to him once in 11 months. Had I have known how horrible it was, my son would've spent one night, my son looked anemic the last couple of months, the Dr. didn't believe me, she didn't believe me about anything. Don't do it, even if you feel like you're out of options
