My parents recently moved here looking for a new utologist for my diabetic father. They did a test using a cathater to see if they could empty his bladder. He got a uti from their cathater...as soon aso he felt discomfort they went to have the uti taken care of. The office did a culture found it was a rare for of ecoli that needed hospitalization. The PA told my mother that he was to busy and hospitalization required alot of paperwork...just have him take augmenton he'll be fine.
Walked into my 12:45 appointment fully prepared with all of my health forms filled out and ready to go. (I have been looking around for doctors for a while for these issues I am having and was told by another medical professional that I should immediately skip a doctor and go straight to a Urologist, and make sure I get an advanced panel Urine sample and blood test) Come to find out, they had me scheduled on the wrong day ( Monday), which... okay that is not a big deal.... I scheduled my appointment with a lady in the Spanish fork Office to see DR. Moriss in the Provo office so maybe it was misplaced...The front desk nurse was very kind at Revere and made me feel confident that it would be fixed and it would be fine. I then waited a full hour to be seen. While in the waiting room, there was a Doctor which I observed, who was extremely rude to the patients in the waiting area, The Doctor actually scowled at me when we caught eyes..? I never saw him smile once, and he was talking to the front desk nurse in a way that I would have fired him for if he was my employee.. , I pray that he is not the Main doctor of this office, and this didn't seem like a man who was having a bad day, he was just not a kind person he was too comfortable in this persona. Later on I was finally seen by a nurse first who had me pee in a cup. and maybe was new at her job? I cant figure it out , she didn't listen to half of what I was saying, she would ask me questions that I had just given her the answer too; and either wrote things down wrong or really didn't listen or maybe the Doctors don't communicate with their nurses, because whatever she typed up to the Urologist, made it sound that way. He asked me about things that were not even happening and asked me again questions I had already answered.. which were the BIGGER ISSUE questions and was not the slightest bit interested in my answers. Totally ignoring the whole issue.. or if he wasn't he didn't let me know that. I let him know I am scared something is wrong with my kidneys... again not interested in the concern. He didn't even let me know why/ what is going on with the urine sample I provided..(had to call to find out) The Urologist saw me for maybe 7 minuets max, ( during this 7 minuets our appointment was interrupted by the other Doctor in the building, remember the one from the Waiting room, he knocked on the door to ask my Urologist some questions about another Patient...What?!.) He wrapped up the appointment giving me a script and sending in orders for a ct scan, and sending me on my way. WAIT i hadn't even gotten to talk about my test options or anything that I wanted ( on the forms you fill out it says..."what would like you like to talk about in your appointment today?" NONE of those things were brought up by my him. I had to bring them up and was responded to with, "you need to get a primary care physician" basically so there is a Legit Reason to do any sort of testing that I want done. YES, I was asked on the phone by the nurse when I made the appointment with the Spanish Fork office if I had a primary care physician, I said no, I also told this nurse what needed to happen at my appointment due to what concerns and symptoms I am having, blood tests,, advanced urine screening, she just kept saying "okay we will take care of you" She never said No we cant do this unless specified by a primary care doctor, Your word is not good enough reason to do so because of your insurance company Policy". If I would have been told that I would not have just wasted my money on seeing a SPECIALIST, whom I chose to see in the first place to SAVE me money in the long run. I would have gone straight to a primary care... Its up to anyone, but I would not suggest coming to this Urology office due to the medical personnel who work there. But that is just me.. I cant handle being treated like cattle, And I sure cant handle watching a Doctor treat other people like that either... First impressions sometimes say too much. I was not impressed.
It's frustrating when they decide that making you wait a month for your ultrasound results of a potentially cancerous tumor is okay. Like I thought doctors had a bit of a sense of urgency. So if you don't want to have wait a month of heavy anxiety from not knowing if you have a cancerous tumor or not because they can't bother to go over your ultrasound for a month, don't head here. The urologist was decently nice during the appointment was the only good thing to come of this.
I have interstitial cystitis and was very unhappy with 2 previous urologists, so my PCP suggested this clinic. I saw PA Stephen Loper who specializes in this disease. He was great! He listened to my complaints and then treated it successfully. I only have periodic episodes now. I would suggest this clinic to anyone who is desperate to get well.
STEVEN LOPER is a joke! I highly recommend you don't waste your time with this dude especially if you're in pain and a woman! Gave my wife his religious beliefs on pain killers and how it makes the world a worse place even though people are suffering. Then tried to make my wife feel bad for bringing up that she had taken painkillers for relief in the past and told my wife " painkillers won't make you a better mom" . My wife has been suffering for 3 months! Don't waste your time with fool he didn't even know my wife's history even after the appointment! Insensitive prick!
He now has sepsis on life support.
